Meet
the Rev. Louis Tonsmeire, Sr.
The Pastor of
St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Calhoun, Georgia is the Rev. Louis
Tonsmeire, Sr.
As a
priest of the Episcopal Church, he has served congregations in
Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee for 42 years, including 30 years of
service in the Diocese of Atlanta.
He is a
graduate of "St. Luke’s" seminary, at the University of the South,
Sewanee, Tennessee.
Although
residing in Cartersville, he is readily available to the people of
St. Timothy’s, with office hours two days per week, plus by
appointment, and Sunday mornings.
He and Sally
have been married for 42 years, and their children and grandchildren
also live in Cartersville.
Father
Tonsmeire has served on numerous committees in the Diocese of
Atlanta, and in the communities in which he has lived.
He is currently
active with public education, the Chamber of Commerce, and the
hospital chaplaincy program in Cartersville, and with the Gordon
County Ministerial Association.
